Practical Session 1

After this session you will be able to do basic operations in computer.

Tasks:

·         Start and Shutdown the computer

·         Open the program (word or any other program)

·         Maximize and Minimize the Window

·         Create New Folder

·         Create a new file and Save it

·         Copy and move the files from one folder to another

·         Rename the folder and files

·         Sort the files

·         Try out some Shortcuts

 

Practical Session 2

                After this session you will be able to search the specific sites in the Internet.

Tasks:

·         Browse the Internet and go to the search engine like www.yahoo.com

·         Search for your desired sites

 

Practical Session 3

            After this session you will be confident in using Pegasus mail.

Tasks:

·         Compose a message and send it

·         Compose a message and send it with Cc to yourself

·         Compose a message and send it with Cc to another person and Bcc to yourself

·         Forward the received message

·         Send a message with attached file you created in word or some other program

·         Create your Signature

 

Practical Session 4

            After this session you will be able to manage your incoming mails, address book and use other e-mail softwares like Outlook, Netscape Messenger. And you will also be familiar with Internet mail and its use.

Tasks:

·         Make your address book

·         Use Netscape Messenger to send e-mails

·         Create your e-mail address in Hotmail

 

Practical Session 5

            After this session you will be familiar with HTML format and tags, and hence will able to create your own web page.

Tasks:

·         Create a web page using Netscape Composer and format the text as you want (like  bold, italic, etc)

·         Save your web page and view with Netscape Navigator

 

Practical Session 6

            After this session you will understand different kind of links in the web page. You will be able to create simple graphics for your web page using Paint Shop Pro.

Tasks:

·         Make a link to a HTML file in you computer

·         Make a link to a site in Internet

·         Make at least two internal links in your page

·         Install Paint Shop Pro 6

·         Create a logo for your office using Paint Shop Pro

 

Practical Session 7

            This session will give you an idea for inserting a graphics in your web page and upload your pages to Internet using Ws_Ftp Pro so that the world can see your site.

Tasks:

·         Insert your logo you created in the last session into your web page

·         Setup Ws_Ftp Pro so that you can upload your files to your site

Practical Session 8

            This Session is divided into two Sections. The first section (150 minutes) will give you confidence in configuring the dialup network (for the connecting to your ISP) and e-mail software. The second section will make you practice in creating home page.

Tasks:

·         Configure dialup networking

·         Send an e-mail

·         Practice more on Web page designing

 

 

Practical Session 9

            This Session is for revising all the things you have done during the last 8 session.

Tasks:

·         Create a new HTML page

·         Upload this file into the Server (Your site) and browse it

·         Send one e-mail to itrain_99@yahoo.com with different options

·         Configure dialup networking and e-mail

 

Practical Session 10

            This is the last practical session and you will be doing more on web page designing.

Tasks:

·         Prepare multiple web pages for presentation
